Goulish Brownies Recipe

These rich, fudgy brownies are not only delicious but also decked out in spooky decorations that make them a perfect treat for Halloween.

Ghoulish Brownies

Ingredients:

For the Brownies:

1 cup (225g) unsalted butter

2 cups (400g) granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour

1 cup (90g) unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

For the Topping:

1 cup (240ml) green frosting (store-bought or homemade)

Edible eyes or candy eyeballs

Optional: black sprinkles or chocolate decorations

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Make the Brownie Batter: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Bake: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.

Decorate: Once cooled, spread the green frosting evenly over the brownies. Decorate with edible eyes, creating ghoulish faces, and sprinkle with black sprinkles if desired.

Serve: Cut the brownies into squares and serve them at your Halloween gathering. Enjoy the spooky fun!
