Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 ½ cups peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow crème

Instructions:

  1. Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly butter it.

  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture begins to boil.

  3. Once boiling, cook for 5 minutes, stirring the whole time, until slightly thickened.

  4. Remove from heat and immediately stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth.

  5. Add the marshmallow crème and stir quickly until fully combined and glossy.

  6. Pour into prepared pan, smooth the top, and let cool completely at room temperature.

  7. Once set, cut into small squares and store in an airtight container.

Notes:

  1. Sprinkle some flaky sea salt or drizzle melted chocolate over the top before chilling.

  2. Don’t overcook the sugar mixture — start the timer as soon as it starts bubbling.

  3. Use a candy thermometer if you want precision: aim for 234°F (112°C) (soft-ball stage).
