National Vanilla Cupcake Day on November 10th is the perfect excuse to indulge in a classic treat! Vanilla cupcakes may seem simple, but with the right recipe and a little extra vanilla love, they become unforgettable. Let’s celebrate by whipping up a batch of deliciously fluffy vanilla cupcakes with a smooth vanilla buttercream frosting.

Vanilla Cupcake Recipe

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar

2 large eggs, at room temperature

2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk, at room temperature

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In another bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).

Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, and mix until just combined.

Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let cupcakes cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
