Vanilla Cupcake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk, at room temperature
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, and mix until just combined.
Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cupcakes cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Vanilla Buttercream Frosting Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
3 cups (360g) powdered sugar, sifted
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean, scraped
2-3 tbsp heavy cream
Instructions:
Beat softened butter on medium speed until creamy.
Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until combined and smooth.
Add vanilla extract or vanilla bean seeds and 2 tbsp of heavy cream. Beat on high until the frosting is light and fluffy. Add more cream if needed.
Pipe or spread the frosting onto cooled cupcakes.
